BW Rec Sports offers Stand Up Paddleboard Classes both in the Lou Higgins Center pool and at local inland lakes. Made possible through a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources BW has 12 custom Stand Up Paddleboards and one American Canoe Instructor Certified Instructor. Watch this short tutorial made by a BW student, Jessica, a participant in the Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding Course taught by Christine Cancian, Assistant Recreation Director, through the HPESS Division. Stand Up Paddleboarding can be taken as a wellness core requirement and is currently offered Fall Semester MMA and Spring Semester MMB.
